Fun in the Sun

We once again interrupt our regularly scheduled programming for another vacation update!

When I first started at Google, I was part of a program for new college graduates.  Although most of us would eventually be working out of satellite offices across the country, we all spent our first four months living and working in Mountain View, CA, where Google is headquartered.  Because we were only going to be located in California temporarily, Google put us up in corporate housing, and it was one of the best experiences I've had while working for Google.  We joked that it was like living in The Real World.  We lived, worked, and played together, and some wonderful, lasting friendships came out of the experience.

Five years later, many of us are scattered around the country and don't get to see each other as often as we'd like.  When my friend Laura bought a house in Phoenix, she figured it was high time for a reunion.  So, last weekend five of us rendezvoused in Arizona and had ourselves a girls weekend!

Winter has over stayed its welcome here in Michigan, so we made the most of the hot and sunny Arizona weather, spending as much time outside as possible.  Highlights of the trip included a quick jaunt to Sedona for a Pink Jeep Tour amongst the gorgeous red rocks, hiking Camelback mountain, and lots and lots of delicious food and drinks.  See below for some pics!

Hiking Camelback Mountain - not for the faint of heart!

All in all it was a fantastic trip and so great to catch up with everyone.  We're already talking about when we can do it again!
