Today I'm rewinding back about a year and a half and continuing our wedding story. Over the next several posts I'll recap our wedding story as well as our honeymoon, and then we'll be back to our regularly scheduled programming!
After we returned home from Portland, we dove head first into wedding planning. Before we even left the beach where David popped the question, we'd already decided on a fall 2014 wedding. Fall is my absolute favorite season, and the timing seemed right, giving us just over a year to plan the wedding.
When you live in a college town (or when your fiance and your friends are obsessed with college sports), it's absolutely necessary to check the football schedule before planning a fall wedding. Choosing our date was actually pretty easy after eliminating all U-M home football Saturdays, plus my dad's and my brother's birthdays (which are exactly one week apart in October - and of course they fell on Saturdays in 2014). With our target wedding date of October 4 in hand, we turned to Google and started researching venues.
